This week’s Special Prayers:
PLEASE PRAY FOR:
- Café Church and Tilson House Services. Inspiration for those leading the services, thanksgiving for those who help in other ways and a deepening relationship with God for all who attend.
- The Wardens and the PCC as they consider the next steps in searching for a new Incumbent: that they receive wisdom, grace and an awareness of unity in Holy Spirit throughout their deliberations.
- The Men’s Fellowship and the Ladies’ Evening Fellowship. That their gatherings will be times of blessing and encouragement.
- All involved in preventing the spread of the Covid-19 (Corona) virus. Wisdom and insight, and protection for those treating the infected.
- People affected by the recent and ongoing flooding.
A prayer from the @churchofengland for all those affected by coronavirus.
Keep us, good Lord,
under the shadow of your mercy.
Sustain and support the anxious,
be with those who care for the sick,
and lift up all who are brought low,
that we may find comfort
knowing that nothing can separate
us from your love
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Amen
A Prayer for our Churchwardens
We have not stopped praying for you and asking God that Chris and Paul:
Be filled with the knowledge of God’s will;
Gain spiritual wisdom;
Live a life worthy of God and please him;
Bear fruit in every good work;
Grow in the knowledge of God;
Be made strong with all the strength that comes from God;
Be prepared to endure everything with patience;
Joyfully give thanks to God.
(taken from Colossians 1: 9 -12)
We also pray for all our parishioners and everyone who is in need of God’s healing grace at this time, for whatever reason, wherever they may be, especially remembering all those on our Healing Prayer List.
“Changing lives through prayer”
The early Church shows us that a praying Church can know God’s power and strength to change lives.
We are using prayer triplets to encourage people to meet in groups of three and pray for one another, for family and friends and for St David’s. For more information pick up a leaflet in church or speak to Sandra Allen (836634) or Stella Allwood (480002).
